I am currently learning Italian, and Portuguese at the same time. If I purchase your premium deal, do I have access to all languages, or do I have to purchase separately for each language I want to learn?

Olรก Cris,

Thank you for your message!

-Qu has a [k] sound before the vowels -e and -i (e.g., querer, quiser) and a [kw] sound before -a and -o (e.g., quatro, quota). Please check out our special Pronunciation series for more details and practice:

Also it's important to note that there are different accents in Brazil, according to the region the speaker is from. ;)

If you have any further doubts, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Cristiane

I'm confused....In the oral lesson, the male voice pronounces "que" as "key. However in the vocabulary review the female voice pronounces it as "kay" - similar to the American letter K sound.

Which is correct?

Hi Mike,

Here is more natural to say; "Que comida deliciosa!", with the adjective after the noun.

In case you have any questions, please let us know

Can you say, "Que deliciosa comida" (What delicious food.), versus "Que comida deliciosa" (What food delicious.)? The other Lesson Phrase, "Isto รฉ muito gostoso" (This is very tasty.), is expressed more naturally, in terms of word order. For the first phrase, if spoken, would it be incorrect, or sound funny to the Brazilian ear?

Please explain.

Thanks,

Mike

Oi Drew,

Usually "de" is pronounced as "da" in "day".

But if you pronounce it like "dee" it won't be wrong, and people will understand you too.

I hope it helps! Let me know if you still have any questions!

Hi,

I'm an absolute beginner.

I am confused with the pronunciation of "de" in "deliciosa"

Does it sound like Dee as in deed or Day?

Thanks,

Andrew

Oi cida,

You're right, but remember it's not a polite way to speak with a girl.

Be careful when using it!haha

Boa sorte,

um rapaz pode dizer gostosa para uma moรงa que ele acha que รฉ muito bonita

a guy can say "gostosa " to a girl if he thinks sheยดs very pretty and maybe he would like to date her.
