Oi Eric,
That's right! There are many different accents in Brazil, so you can use one of them :smile:
Hope it helps!

Hello Paloma.
When I had done the first part of that section, I could NOT open this second part for which you sent the link.
Now it is possible!
Does your answer mean that the final โrโ in the list of words under point 2 and point 3 in my question COULD be pronounced in the SAME way and that light variations should my attributed to a local โcoloringโ?
Regards.
Eric
Hi Eric,
The way we pronounce the "r" have many variations in Portuguese.
You could say it more like the English "r", or even more similar to the French or Ducth "r".
I think this video may help you a little:

Hello
In your section about pronunciation of the โrโ, I read that the โrโ at the end of a word should be pronounced as โhโ.
1) In many words in your lessons I hear something between โhโ and โrโ, at the back of the throat, a bit like the French โrโ but less stressed.
Is this correct?
2) This seems to be the case in the following words in your video lessons:
* trabalhar
* preparar.
* danรงar.
* chegar.
* morar.
* conversar.
3) However, in the following words, in your video lessons, I seem to hear โrโ with the tip of the tongue although less stressed, a bit like the Dutch โrโ (not the French โrโ).
Is this correct?
# lavar
# guardar
# procurar
# desenhar
# mostrar
# tocar
# colocar
# explicar
# esperar
# segurar
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
