Oi gente! This is Jade Furuta and welcome to another Portuguese weekly words. So let’s start. Today’s theme is Direction words. Ah, direction reminds me of One Direction. Show me one direction! Beijo! Okay, let’s go!
direita, that means “right.” Right. Direita.
Por favor, vire à direita.
Please turn right.
leste “east,” far east movement. What can I say?
Fica ao leste.
It's at the east side.
sul “south”
Eu sou da América do Sul.
I'm from South America.
fora, fora “outside”
Deixe o cachorro lá fora.
Leave the dog outside. Yeah, normally in Brazil, we always keep the dogs, the pets outside and we also feed them normal food and I remember trying to feed my dog, dog food poor thing. He got so stomach sick.
dentro “inside.” In Brazil, we cook a lot. We eat a lot of food. My family cooks for me and I eat all the time.
Eu gosto de comer muito quando estou dentro de casa.
I like to eat a lot when I am inside home.
