Oi oi gente, tudo bem? How are you? This is Jade Furuta and welcome to another Portuguese weekly words. So, today’s theme is Hygiene Actions. Let’s see what we have here:
escovar “to brush.” It could be-
escovar os dentes
brush your teeth
escovar o cabelo
brush your hair

I brushed my hair this morning.
fazer a barba, fazer a barba, “to shave.” No, I do not do this, but I have seen my dad doing it many times.

gargarejar “to gargle,” gargarejar. This is something I do a lot and you should do too because that prevents you from getting sick. Yeah trust me, it really works. Washing your hands and gargling helps a lot.

I gargle many times during the day.
lavar “to wash.” Apart from the gargling, I wash my hands many times a day as well and every time I am going to eat, first, I wash my hands. And after.

You must wash your hands before you eat.
tomar banho “to bathe”
Eu gosto de tomar banhos quentes.
I like to bathe in hot water.
