Oi gente! This is Jade Furuta and welcome to another Portuguese weekly words. So let’s check out today’s theme. It’s Tourism. Yeah, I love this topic, let’s go.
Guia. This is actually one of my jobs, guia. Guia turístico which means “travel guide.“
Eu sou uma guia turística.
I am a travel guide.
igreja, igreja “church”
Eu vou à igreja aos domingos. Eu vou à igreja aos domingos.
I go to church on Sundays.
Turista. I am pretty sure turista is same as in Spanish. It means obviously “tourist.“
Eu sou uma turista nos Estados Unidos. Eu sou uma turista nos Estados Unidos.
I am a tourist in the States.
Yeay! I am visiting the United States this month and I am very excited and that’s what I am going to tell people when they ask me what I am doing.
Eu sou uma turista!
I am a tourist!
LA boohoo!
viajar “to tour or to travel”
Eu amo viajar. Eu amo viajar.
I love to travel. What about you?
Você gosta de viajar?
Do you like traveling?
Next, parque, parque, “park.”
Vamos ao parque correr.
Let’s go to the park and run. Correr means “run.” It is actually not my favorite thing. I like dancing.
