Oi gente, hello everyone, this is Jade Furuta. Welcome to our Portuguese weekly words. I mean, our theme today: Computer words.
fones de ouvido “headphones,” you could say:
Você poderia por favor usar os seus fones de ouvido?
Could you please wear your headphones?
impressora “printer”
Me desculpe, a nossa impressora está quebrada.
I am sorry, our printer is broken.
microfone obviously that is “microphone.”
Vamos ligar o microfone?
Let's turn on the microphone?
monitor “monitor,” same
Por favor, olhe para o monitor.
Please, look at the monitor.
teclado “keyboard”
Você sabe tocar teclado?
Do you know how to play the keyboard?
We use the same word for the piano type or for the computer type. It is exactly the same, just like English. When I was about 14, I tried to play keyboard. I also played a little bit of guitar, which my dad forced me but I would like to one day play teclado again.
