| 1. Eu vou terminar três séries no PortuguesePod101.com. "I'll finish three series on PortuguesePod101.com." |
| Each series at PortuguesePod101.com is only 25 lessons long. So if you surely can finish three series in a year, I know you can do better actually. |
| 2. Eu vou terminar de ler cinco livros em português. "I'll finish reading five books in Portuguese." |
| If you don’t really like reading, you can kind of cheat a little bit and read Brazilian gibis or comic books. The most famous one is Turma da Monica. |
| 3. Vou passar na minha prova de português. "I'll pass my Portuguese test." |

| 4. Eu quero entender um filme em português sem legendas. "I want to understand a movie in Portuguese without subtitles." |
| Don’t confuse legenda and English legends. Legenda is subtitle and legend is lenda. |
| 5. Vou cantar minhas músicas brasileiras favoritas sem ler. "I'll sing my favorite Brazilian songs without reading." |
| Qual é sua música brasileira favorita? “What is your favorite Brazilian song?” |

| Five words a day is just so few but in a year, there would be so many new vocabulary in Portuguese you will learn and you become a craque. |
| Craque is someone that is very good at something. |
| For example, Neymar é um craque do futebol, or “Neymar is an expert in soccer.” |
| 7. Vou aprender direitinho todos os tempos verbais em português. "I'll learn all the verb tenses in Portuguese very well." |
| You have to learn direitinho, very well. So you can speak Portuguese like a native. Since Portuguese has so many verb conjugations. Yeah, it’s very good to spend your time learning Portuguese conjugations. |
| 8. Vou mandar 10 cartões postais em português para os meus amigos brasileiros. "I'll send 10 postcards in Portuguese to my Brazilian friends." |
| It’s not common in Brazil to send postcards but I am sure your Brazilian friend will be so happy to receive a postcard from you that he might write back to you. |
| 9. Eu vou decorar 5 músicas em português. "I'll memorize 5 songs in Portuguese." |
| Decorar means memorize. You can also use memorizar. But we are more used to say decorar or saber de cor or to know by heart. |
| 10. Vou aprender uma frase nova por dia em português. "I'll learn a new phrase per day in Portuguese." |
