Olá Jonathan!
Thanks for your message.
Don't worry. Keep studying and practicing and soon you'll understand the conversation easily
In this conversation "daí" means "then" or "after that":
"Daí depois você vai para Nova York?"
"Then you're going to New York?"
The word "daí" is very used in informal conversations in Brazil. In the example it was used "daí depois" to express "afterwards" or "after that" or "then", but the speaker can use just "daí" to obtain the same meaning:
"Daí você vai para Nova York?".

Não, eu não posso seguir. A conversa foi rápido demais para a minha limitada habilidade escutar e entender. Mas, eu tenho uma pergunta--o que quer dizer a palavra "daí?"
No, I couldn't follow it. The conversation went too quickly for my limited ability to listen and understand. But, I have a question--what does the word "daí" mean? (5th line)
