Hi, everyone! I’m Paloma.
Oi gente! Meu nome é Paloma.
Welcome to the Whiteboard Lessons!
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to modify nouns with “de” in Portuguese.
Let’s get started!
Let's look at the sentence pattern.
This pattern will be the structure that all of our dialogues will follow…
so we have "de"
de are preposition in Portuguese.
you might also hear the pronunciation "g"
G
de or "g" means the same thing
for example
O seu número ge telefone or O seu número de telefone
so this is literally in English the "O" seu "your" número "number" de "Of" telefone
O seu número de telefone or your phone number.
this is the structure
Noun + de + noun
for example numero "noun" de "of" telephone
that is also a noun
so as you know in Portuguese we also have contractions
the contractions of "de" the preposition with the article after it
so we have De + a
i is used for feminine nouns
becomes "da"
and the plus "o"
that is used with masculine nouns becomes "do"
de, "do" and you also have the plural form of course
De + as = das
and De + os = dos
dos
da, do, das, dos,
