Did you notice the phrase the last speaker uses when she points out her sons?
O meu esposo, os meus filhos e eu.
"My husband, my sons, and me."
Os meus filhos translates as "my sons," in this case. Os meus filhos.
Remember, in Portuguese, all nouns have grammatical gender and are either singular or plural. Filhos is masculine and plural — a fact that determines the form of other words in the sentence.

Filhos is the plural form of filho, "son." Filho.
Note: filhos can refer to a group of only sons or a mixed group of children including at least one son and one daughter. However, when referring to a group of only daughters, use the word filhas.
Before this is os meus, "my." Os meus.
Let’s start with meus, "my." Meus. Meus.
Meus is masculine and plural to agree with filhos.
Before meus is the article os. Think of it like "the" in English. Os. Os.
Os is also masculine and plural to agree with filhos.
Note: in this sentence, the article os does not have a corresponding English translation.
Together, it’s os meus, a phrase meaning "my." Os meus.
All together, os meus filhos, "my sons."
To say "my daughters," as minhas filhas. As minhas filhas.
To refer to a group of children, "my children," moje dzieci. Moje dzieci.
All together, O meu esposo, os meus filhos e eu.
"My husband, my sons, and me."
You should be aware of the plural form, but you won’t need it for this lesson.
