aluno “student” You can say aluno or aluna. Aluna is for girl.
Eu sou aluna dessa escola.
I am a student of this school

Bem vindo à aula de hoje!
Welcome to today’s class!
caderno “notebook”
Professora, me desculpe, eu esqueci o caderno.
Teacher, I am sorry, I forgot my notebook.
Yeah you might get in trouble for that one. I used to forget my notebook, my books but it’s okay. I think it turned out all right.
