Hello everyone, olá, this is Jade Furuta and welcome to another Portuguese weekly words. So let’s start, vamos lá! Today’s theme is at the office. Yeah I know you like that.
Colega which is “colleague”
Essa é a minha colega de trabalho.
This is my work colleague.
Empresa “company”
Eu trabalho para uma empresa japonesa. E você?
I work for a Japanese company. What about you?
Escritório, that means office
Eu vou ao escritório todos os dias.
I go to the office everyday.
Salário, and I am sure that’s one of your favorite words. It means “salary.”
Hoje é dia de salário.
Today is salary day. It’s payment day.
Vamos tomar uma cerveja gelada? You are probably going to hear this a lot in Brazil. Vamos “let’s go”, cerveja gelada means “cold beer”. Brazilians really love that.
turno “shift“
Ai, que droga, hoje eu tenho turno noturno!
Que droga means “That sucks”
Today I have night shift!
