HideOlá, PortuguesePod101 listeners! Happy Carnaval! Technically, Carnaval is tomorrow (Tues. Feb 21, 2012) but for most Brazilians the party started three days ago!
So, what's your favorite food? Any delicious dishes unique to your country? Tantalize us by leaving a comment!

Oi, bom dia!
Here is something to tantalize you guys. So I live in Suriname, and we have here a dish here called roti, which as got to be about the best dish anywhere!! That is if it is made right. It is basically a curry dish, with egg, chicken(or any other meat for that matter), potatoes, and a vegetable called kosoebanti (basically the equivalent of meter beans). This is all eaten on something similar to a tortilla shell, but a lot more breakable. ร muita gostosa!!! Most of our visitors love it!!
Tchau!
Rhoda

Eu gosto frango frito com uma garaffa de cerveja. ๐
Hi Jaimie,
Yes, you could do so. ๐
"tasty" also means "saborosa", so you could also use this meaning in Portuguese as well.
"ร saborosa?" / "Is it tasty?"
Let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Cristiane

In this conversation, since we already understand that the subject is 'mandioca' do we have to say, 'Ela รฉ gostosa?' or can we just say, 'รฉ gostosa?' without the 'ela'?
Eu gosto de chocolate. Mas tambem eu gosto de comer saudavel. Eu como muitas frutas e vegetais.
Olรก Kim,
