Bom dia.

Brazil sounds like an interesting place.

Thanks for sending me a new Portuguese word everyday. Muito obrigrado.

I know a few Brazilians. They are quite friendly and co-operative.

Oi Riche!

Very nice tips!

I think the "weird" looks are usually because they are curious about you - your accent, or your clothing!

Hope you're enjoying our site! Let us know if you have any questions!

They are generally very friendly. of course if your a Foreigner sometimes you can get wierd looks if people are not used too you. But just be respectful and be yourself. I'm Scottish. but have been spending a lot of time over the last 4 years, and currently planning to settle here with my Brazilian Noiva( Fiancรฉe) I have worn my Kilts, in Rio Lappa and Night Clubs etc. and every Brazilian thought it was cool and it became a good Ice breaker ( 2am in McDonald's, wanting to practise their English with me and talking about Football.

Of course in smaller places and more rural area's people give a weird look as they mistake it for a dress. but I've been too local Festas ( big parties) and made to feel very welcome everyone wants a photo with you. and it makes them feel special as you are being your self and being proud of your native country but at the same time wanting to join in with them
