Sofia: (haha) Lembro sim.
(risos)
Daniel: Uhum, provavelmente!

----Formal English----

Daniel: And the legend of the headless mule, do you remember it?
Sofia: Of course, Grandma was the one who told us that one, remember?
Daniel: (hesitant) Uhh... Not very well. How did she tell it exactly?
Sofia: A long time ago, a woman was cursed for loving a Catholic Father. Since then, every night from Thursday to Friday she's transformed into the headless mule.
She wandered seven villages and whoever encountered her by the way would be attacked, their eyes would be taken, their finger and toe nails and fingers and toes would be eaten.
Some people that have seen her say that if you encounter her you must lie down on the ground, hide your fingers, toes, and your teeth so she doesn't attack. They also say that she could rip off your head.
Daniel: Remember that Grandma also said that on the nights that she appears it's possible to hear her neighing and her gallop, that sound like a furious horse?
Sofia: (haha) I do remember that. I think that Grandma told us these stories so that we would be afraid and hug her.
(laughter)
Daniel: Uhuh, probably!

<itunes:summary>Having your own place in Portugal has been amazing! You have so much freedom, and it's quiet when you need peace to study Portuguese. The worst thing about having your own place is keeping it nice and tidy. Deciding that a little clutter doesn't interrupt your Portuguese practice, you've put the dusting and the dishes on the back burner until you send out invitations in Portuguese. Too bad your friends showed up unannounced yesterday! You have to act fast, and so ask them in Portuguese to wait five minutes. Meanwhile, you quickly start making the bed and doing the laundry, but you can't keep the secret for long. You've forgotten how to clean the house and so you have to ask your friends for help in Portuguese. In this lesson you'll learn even more Portuguese expressions that will help with housework.

Giselda: ah sim, claro! Com certeza! "Éramos felizes E sabíamos."

Presenter: Welcome back to your show! We have Giselda Bundchen on our stage today. She already talked about her childhood and now I want to know...what do you miss the most from those times?
Giselda: Ahh, I miss when we'd barbeque with the whole family together. When all my cousins and I would go to my grandmother's house, it was a party! My older cousins would tell stories to the younger ones and they got scared to death.
Presenter: (haha) And were you scared too?
Giselda: I was deathly afraid, but I never let anyone know. But in the end, we all slept with the light on.
Presenter: Which story scared you the most?
Giselda: The headless mule, for sure.
Presenter: (haha) That certainly is a scary one. But, they're good memories, right?
Giselda: Yes, of course! Certainly! "We were happy and we knew it."
(Program song)
Presenter: Don't leave where you are, after the break we'll have the number one top model in the world make more surprising revelations. Don't change the channel!

Riquezas naturais e arquitetônicas do Paraná

One of the strong points of Parana is its natural parks, and a great example known worldwide is the Iguaçu National Park, where the Iguaçu Falls are located, with around two hundred and seventy-five waterfalls. The park is in the Foz do Iguaçu city that borders Argentina and Paraguay. We consider the falls a Natural Heritage of Humanity and are competing for the position of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The Vila Velha State Park, in the Ponta Grossa city, has a set of very interesting rock formations that the wind and rain sculpted over the years. You can identify many figures made by the rocks, among them a chalice, a boot, and a camel\'s head.

For the beach lovers, the Mel Island (\"Honey Island\"), also in Ponta Grossa,* is a good option. It has one of the best beaches of Brazil, along with some Brazilian history. To preserve the natural flora and fauna, the island has restricted a maximum of five thousand visitors simultaneously.

In the capital of the State, the Curitiba city has many places worthy of postcards. One of the most famous is the Botanic Garden of Curitiba, which has a greenhouse of three vaults, architecture in art-noveau style, and home plants from the Brazilian Atlantic forest, along with a botanical museum.

Yet in Curitiba, the Oscar Niemeyer (designed by the artist Niemeyer) has a lot of beauty and peculiarity in its shapes, because it has one of the annex that remember an eye. It's a museum devoted to the plastic arts.

Finally, another great architectonic work is the Wire Opera in Curitiba. This theater is made entirely of steel pipes and steel structures, a reminder of the fragility of a wire construction.

*As noted by one of our listeners, this city should be Paranaguá, not Ponta Grossa.
